About Us
We are a growing private dental practice committed to providing exceptional patient care in a welcoming environment. As our practice continues to grow, we are transitioning our dental insurance billing process from an outside billing company to an in-house model. We are looking for an experienced Dental Insurance Biller who can lead this transition, establish efficient processes, and help create a successful billing department from the ground up.
Position Summary
This is more than a traditional billing position. We are seeking a knowledgeable, detail-oriented professional who has extensive experience with dental insurance billing and is confident implementing systems, improving workflows, and tracking key performance metrics. The ideal candidate will be dependable, highly organized, and able to provide meaningful reporting that helps our practice monitor and improve financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of dental insurance billing and claims processing.
- Submit, track, and follow up on PPO and Medicaid insurance claims.
- Resolve claim denials, underpayments, and outstanding accounts.
- Verify insurance payments and ensure accurate account posting.
- Develop and implement efficient in-house billing workflows and best practices.
- Monitor accounts receivable and maintain healthy collection timelines.
- Create and present reports that track billing performance, collections, aging, claim acceptance rates, and other key metrics.
- Identify trends and recommend improvements to increase collections and reduce claim delays.
- Work closely with the front office and clinical team to improve documentation and insurance accuracy.
- Help train team members on billing processes and insurance requirements as needed.
- Maintain compliance with insurance regulations and patient privacy standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in dental insurance billing.
- Strong knowledge of PPO and Medicaid dental insurance plans.
- Experience managing accounts receivable and insurance collections.
- Proven ability to analyze billing data and present meaningful reports.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience helping establish or improve billing systems is highly preferred.

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
