DescriptionCome work for Windermere's most fun camp at Isleworth Golf & Country Club. This fun, inclusive summer camp is dedicated to providing a safe and memorable experience for campers ages 4-13. We are seeking responsible and energetic Lifeguards to supervise aquatic activities and ensure the safety of all campers and staff.
This is an 8 week assignment that includes training from May 26-28 and the week of June 29th off. Hours are from 10:30am to 2:30pm Tuesday thru Friday, camp runs from June 2nd to July 31st. Pays $19/hr includes meals. Must also be available to work an occasional weekend or special event. Opportunity to work in a fun, outdoor environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor campers and staff during swimming and water activities
- Enforce pool and waterfront safety rules
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies
- Perform water rescues and administer first aid when necessary
- Conduct safety checks of the pool/waterfront area
- Assist with swim tests and aquatic programming
- Maintain a clean and safe aquatic environment
- At least 1 year prior experience as a lifeguard or camp counselor
- Current Lifeguard Certification (American Red Cross or equivalent)
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification
- Strong swimming ability and rescue skills
- Ability to remain alert and attentive for long periods
- Friendly, responsible, and team-oriented attitude
- Must be at least [16/18] years old
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Lifeguard at Isleworth Golf & Country Club, located in Windermere, FL. The Lifeguard will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all guests at the pool by monitoring activities, enforcing safety procedures, and responding promptly to emergencies. Additional responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and order in the pool area, inspecting the pool and equipment for safety compliance, and providing exceptional customer service to members and their guests.
Qualifications
- Strong swimming skills and proficiency in lifeguarding techniques
- Ability to remain alert and respond quickly and calmly in emergency situations
- Knowledge of safety and first aid procedures, including CPR and basic water rescue techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with members and guests
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual duties, such as lifting and maintaining pool equipment
- Current lifeguard certification and CPR/AED certification required
- Previous lifeguard or aquatic safety experience is a plus
- A commitment to providing outstanding customer service in a professional and courteous manner
