Responsibilities
- Assist in planting, cultivating and harvesting crops using various farming techniques and equipment.
- Handle animals safely and efficiently using proper techniques to prevent injury and stress.
- Maintain sanitation standards across all farm areas to promote healthy crops and livestock environments.
- Operate mechanical equipment such as tractors, tractor trailers, or other farm machinery.
- Record data related to crop growth, animal movements, manure handling and farm activities accurately for reporting purposes.
- Participate in heavy lifting tasks involving feed bags, equipment parts, or other materials necessary for daily operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience or strong interest in farming, agriculture, or animal husbandry.
- Knowledge of animal handling techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge related to farm equipment operation and maintenance.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations, measurements, or record keeping.
- Commitment to sanitation practices that promote biosecurity and cleanliness on the farm.
- Experience working with livestock species such as swine is highly desirable.
