What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus Driver for Parks and Recreation position at Isle of Wight County?
- Assists with bus maintenance; cleans bus;
- Drives bus for the Summer Blast Summer Program;
- Drives bus for special activities in the department;
- Maintains order and provides safety for bus riders; and
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Observe all approved safety and health policies and procedures pertaining to his/her work activities and perform all work tasks in a safe and healthy manner in accordance with County policy.
The work is light and requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects. Requires the ability to balance, crouch, feel, grasp, handle, hear, kneel, lift, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, talking, visual acuity, reach, push, pull, and walk.
Education and Experience:
Requires a High School Diploma/GED, and one (1) year of work experience.
Licenses or Certifications:
Requires Commercial Driver’s License valid in the Commonwealth of Virginia and First Aid CPR certification.
Special Requirements:
Must maintain good driving record.
