What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool/Infant Toddler Teacher position at Islands of Fun Learning Center LLC?
Islands of Fun Learning Center in Dartmouth, MA is looking for a Teacher to join our team of Educators. We are preferably looking for someone who is experienced and certified with EEC, as well as First Aid/CPR certified (or willing to be prior to start date.) Requirements:
- EEC Teacher Certification in Preschool and/or Infant Toddler
- 18 years old
- Minimum education: High School Diploma
- First aid/CPR Certified (or willing to get certified prior to start date.) *IOF Covers this cost*
- Able to pass an extensive background check.
- Positive, outgoing, friendly personality that is willing to work as part of a team with our other educators and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans for preschool-aged children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through engaging activities
- Teach basic math and literacy skills through interactive games and exercises
- Promote positive behavior and classroom management techniques
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning environment
- Implement early intervention strategies for children with special needs or learning difficulties
Skills:
- Experience working with preschool and/or infant/toddler aged children in a childcare or educational setting
- Strong knowledge of child welfare and development principles
- Proficiency in creating engaging lesson plans that promote learning and development
- Excellent classroom management skills to create a structured and organized environment
- Effective communication skills to interact with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each child
- Knowledge of early intervention strategies for children with special needs or learning difficulties
