Duties
- Assist experienced flooring installers with preparing surfaces and measuring for accurate installation of various flooring materials such as carpet, hardwood, laminate, and vinyl
- Learn to measure homes, ball rooms, hotel hallways and more
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and install flooring materials with precision (must have a reliable vehicle such as a truck or van)
- Support team members in demo, floor prep., leveling, laying, caulking, trim carpentry, baseboard installation, and water damage restoration projects
- Participate in construction site activities including demolition, surface preparation, and finishing touches like sealing, caulking baseboards and floor care
- The desire to help with restoration projects within our Community
- Follow safety protocols on construction sites to ensure a secure working environment
Skills
- Basic understanding of the flooring industry is a plus
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools; having your own tools is a plus
- Experience or interest in flooring installation, or related trades such as carpentry
- Ability to follow directions for accurate project execution
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills like cutting and installating carpet-vinyl and hardwood , caulking, trim and baseboard installation,
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with attention to detail to ensure high-quality results in all tasks undertaken
- Interested in developing your skills to become a flooring installer with a rapidly growing flooring company
- Able to lift 50-100 pounds
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
