Role Overview
The Brand Manager is a key steward of the Island Stone brand—responsible for ensuring it is expressed with clarity, consistency, and intention across every channel and customer touchpoint. This role protects the integrity of the brand while helping it evolve in thoughtful, modern ways that reflect Island Stone’s design roots and creative culture.
Working closely with the VP of Brand & Design, the Brand Manager bridges strategy and execution, translating brand vision into compelling plans, campaigns, and tools. This role partners cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Product Development, and Operations to bring the brand to life—through storytelling, product launches, and experiences that feel cohesive, elevated, and authentic.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Stewardship
- Serve as a day-to-day steward of the Island Stone brand, ensuring clarity, consistency, and quality across all channels and touchpoints
- Translate brand strategy into actionable plans, campaigns, and initiatives
- Manage and enforce brand standards and style guidelines
- Keep internal teams and external partners aligned around brand direction and execution
- Monitor market trends, customer insights, and competitive activity
- Measure and report on brand and marketing performance
Product Storytelling & Launches
- Partner closely with Product Development on product positioning, storytelling, naming, and launch planning
- Ensure product narratives reflect materiality, craft, application, and design intent
- Support launch execution across marketing, sales tools, digital content, and trade channels
Sales & Dealer Enablement
- Support Sales and dealer partners with brand-aligned tools, materials, and messaging
- Ensure dealer marketing and advertising efforts align with brand standards
- Provide brand and product guidance to support selling conversations
Marketing Materials & Merchandising
- Lead creation and delivery of marketing materials and physical displays
- Oversee photography planning, artwork production, and image usage
- Manage production of catalogs, brochures, tear sheets, and printed collateral
- Ensure all materials meet brand and design standards
Digital, Content & Asset Management
- Manage website content updates and brand-related digital initiatives
- Oversee the asset management platform to ensure accessibility and proper usage
- Plan and oversee social media content in alignment with brand tone
- Produce and manage video content for brand, product, and instructional use
Trade Shows, Events & PR Support
- Support planning and execution of trade shows, events, and brand experiences
- Coordinate marketing assets, materials, and timelines for events
- Support public relations initiatives and development of press materials

- Product launches are clear, compelling, and aligned across Marketing, Sales, and Product Development
- Sales and dealer partners are equipped with strong, brand-aligned tools that support effective selling
- Marketing materials, digital content, and events feel cohesive, elevated, and intentional
- Cross-functional teams trust the Brand Manager as a thoughtful partner and brand steward
- Brand initiatives are delivered on time, on budget, and with a high standard of quality
Qualifications & Experience
- 6–10 years of experience in brand management, marketing, or a related role
- Experience working with design-driven, premium, or consumer brands
- Strong understanding of brand strategy, storytelling, and visual identity
- Hands-on experience supporting product launches and marketing initiatives across digital and print channels
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working with metrics, reporting, and basic budget tracking
- Based within driving distance of Carlsbad, California
Nice to have: experience in architecture, interior design, or trade-focused environments.
Compensation
Salary range: $95,000–$120,000 base salary, depending on experience
Bonus eligibility based on performance
