Duties
- Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating to ensure healthy, lush lawns.
- Maintain landscape features such as flower beds, shrubs, trees, and lawns through pruning, trimming, planting, and watering.
- Operate hand tools (shovels, rakes, pruners) and power tools (weed whackers, blowers) safely and efficiently to carry out landscaping projects.
- Use heavy machinery such as excavators for site preparation, grading, or planting projects.
- Construct hardscape elements like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and fire pits to enhance outdoor aesthetics.
Experience
- Prior experience in landscaping or horticulture is highly preferred; enthusiasm for outdoor work is essential.
- Mechanical knowledge of lawn care equipment and power tools is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices such as gardening, tree care, and hardscape installation.
- Hands-on experience with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting.
- Ability to operate construction machinery like excavators safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of plant species, horticulture principles, and seasonal garden care techniques.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to landscaping tools and machinery to ensure a secure work environment.
