Petroleum Assistant Foreman

About the Role:

The Petroleum Assistant Foreman plays a critical role in supporting the Foreman in overseeing petroleum-related construction projects, ensuring that all operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards. This position involves coordinating daily activities on-site, managing labor resources, and maintaining clear communication between field personnel and management. The Assistant Foreman is responsible for monitoring project progress, identifying potential issues, and implementing solutions to keep the project on schedule and within budget. Additionally, this role requires enforcing safety protocols and environmental regulations to protect workers and the surrounding community. Ultimately, the Petroleum Assistant Foreman contributes to the successful completion of construction projects by fostering teamwork, maintaining high-quality standards, and supporting leadership in operational decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Foreman in planning, organizing, and supervising petroleum construction activities on-site.
• Coordinate and direct the work of construction crews, ensuring tasks are completed according to project specifications and timelines.
• Monitor compliance with safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular safety inspections and addressing hazards promptly.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to relay progress updates and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, equipment usage, and daily work reports.
• Support training and mentoring of crew members to enhance skills and promote a productive work environment.
• Assist in troubleshooting operational challenges and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Work independently and as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently.
• Travel out of town as required by project needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in petroleum or construction industry roles, preferably with supervisory responsibilities.
• Basic knowledge of petroleum construction processes, equipment, and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites within the United States.
