Job Title: Compliance Inspector Helper I
Job Summary
This position will serve as an entry level position. The Compliance Inspection Helper 1 will learn standard safety procedures and basic protocols for performing monthly facility inspections.
Benchmarks to achieve in this position are:
● API Safety Certification
● Osha 40 Hour Certification
Milestones to achieve in this position are:
● Promotion to Compliance Inspection Helper II (promotion based on positive evaluation of helper’s performance from crew leaders and management)
The Compliance Inspection Helper 1 will learn directly from the Compliance Inspector. Together, they will perform field tests, and maintenance of compliance programs within the organization. Compliance Inspectors must have a proactive learning approach by attending training(s), receiving and maintaining certifications to ensure that all operations align with relevant regulations and standards. The Compliance Inspection Helper 1 should have the ambition to learn and grow within the Compliance Department and strive to become a Compliance Lead Inspector throughout his/her tenure with S&W Services, LLC.
Responsibilities:
Complies with all regulations and company procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment for all team members.
Complies with legal and company waste management methods, procedures and regulations.
Drive company service vehicles to customer locations, frequently on a prescribed route.
Maintains, troubleshoots, repairs (as needed) and performs preventative maintenance for the following systems: fluid flow, gas flow, chemical reactions, mechanical equipment and other forms of instrumentation.
Maintains and expands professional knowledge and skill sets through participating in educational opportunities, growing professional networks, becoming a member of respected professional societies and staying abreast of industry trends.
Pump out petroleum contacted water from tank and dispenser sumps.
Perform tank and line testing, spill bucket testing, change out filters in dispensers.
Check for proper placement of leak detectors and sensors.
Perform visual monthly UST inspections of service stations and complete the required UST compliance forms. Provide accurate information while completing the required forms.
Perform inspections of fueling facilities, which consists of visual observation and survey of site conditions.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must have a valid driver’s license & clean driving record.
Communicate effectively with customers, fellow team members and supervisors.
Must be able to work independently without constant direct supervision.
Must be able to meet the company's employment requirements, which includes passing a drug screen, criminal background check, and MVR, if driving for the company.
Willingness and ability to train and manage assigned helper(s).

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards.
