Software Developer

As part of IPRO’s Technology Solutions team, as the Software Developer will you have the opportunity to set up enterprise-wide strategic projects and processes with exposure to leaders across the company. In the Software Developer role, you will be a key driver of innovation and develop new tools and approaches to create value for our customers. Given the breadth and depth of IPRO’s technology development, you will learn how to maximize the value for a wide variety of users by participating in all activities of the development life cycle including planning, requirements gathering, active development, testing, production and maintenance.  The Software Developer will be part of a collaborative and supportive culture that values employee development through both formal training and on-the-job opportunities.  Duties to include but not limited to:

• Creation of site layout / user interface using best/standard web practices.
• Development of robust and user-friendly applications including PHP-based as well as application based on Node.js.
• Maintain and support application support queue and maintenance.
• Help gathering and analyzing business requirements to develop software solutions.
• Provide technical documentation for the work accomplished.
• Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Develop and maintain project plans, specifications, and documentation.
• Assist project managers with timelines and communication.

This position is office based at our Jericho, NY office.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A solid understanding of Object-Oriented Design and Programming and the demonstrated use of an MVC framework.
• A solid understanding of Web application development processes, from the layout / user interface to relational database structures.
• Ability to configure and manage the LAMP stack.
• Strong communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Ability to communicate directly with peers, managers, and clients while leading development to a completed and successful solution.
• Strong organizational skills with the proven ability to manage multiple timelines and complete tasks quickly within the constraints of clients' timelines and budgets.
• Ability to grow professionally in a highly flexible and fast-moving environment.
• Awareness and pride in 100% client satisfaction.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline, required.
• Two (2) years of technical and IT experience with a minimum of one (1) year developing Web sites or Web applications using an expert understanding of requirements gathering, self-management and delivery, required. 
• Experience with PHP or similar platform, required.
• Previous experience working with healthcare data preferred.

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. The annualized salary range for this position is $75,000.00 – $85,000.00. Actual salary range and /or hourly rate depends on a variety of factors including experience, education, credentials, location, and budget.
