Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this position, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations by preparing ingredients and menu items. Responsibilities
- Prepare and chop ingredients for cooking, including vegetables, meats, and other components as per menu specifications.
- Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from the head chef.
- Prepare dishes in large batches, portion into containers, label, and display for sale.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, cleanliness, and organization in the kitchen.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
- Support inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages.
- Perform dishwashing as needed for cookware.
Dishwasher duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
- Manage the dishwashing station and ensure proper cleanliness of all cookware.
- Assist in food preparation as needed.
Skills
- Training is provided.
- Previous experience in food service or culinary roles is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is useful.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent knife skills for efficient meal preparation.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude and good communication skills.
