What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Accountability Coordinator position at ISLAND MONTESSORI CHARTER SCHOOL DISTRICT?
This position plays a critical role in ensuring student success through the coordination of state testing programs, MTSS systems, and student attendance monitoring. The coordinator works closely with school leadership and instructional staff to support data-driven decision making, compliance, and targeted student supports.

Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (required)
- State teaching license preferred but not required
- Experience in education leadership, data coordination, testing, MTSS, or student support systems preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, families, and school leadership
- Experience with data systems and student information systems is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Testing & Assessment Coordination
- Coordinate all state and local testing programs (NWEA MAP, EOG, WIDA, etc.)
- Develop and manage the annual testing calendar, including training, administration, accommodations, and security procedures
- Ensure compliance with all state testing requirements and maintain strict test security
- Oversee ordering, distribution, and return of all testing materials
- Provide training for staff and volunteers on testing procedures
- Support administration of English Learner assessments (WIDA, W-APT, WIDA AMS)
- Maintain accurate student data systems (EVAAS, rosters, accommodations, subgroup reporting)
- Submit and verify required state reporting data (LEP, SWD, EDS, accommodations)
- Lead post-assessment data meetings and support teachers in using data to inform instruction
- Collaborate with school leadership to analyze testing data for school improvement planning
MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports)
- Support teachers in interpreting student data and implementing tier interventions
- Coordinate intervention tracking and progress monitoring systems
- Participate in and support Tier parent conferences and family communication
- Attend required state MTSS meetings and trainings
- Support the administration of benchmark assessments and school-wide data collection
- Analyze and present MTSS data to school leadership teams
- Serve as an active member of the School Improvement Team
- Ensure alignment between academic, behavioral, and attendance-based interventions
Attendance & Student Accountability
- Monitor and analyze daily and chronic student attendance data
- Develop systems to identify attendance concerns early and support intervention strategies
- Partner with teachers and families to improve student attendance and engagement
- Ensure compliance with state attendance reporting requirements
- Provide regular attendance reports and trend analysis to school leadership
- Collaborate with MTSS team to integrate attendance data into student support planning
Additional Responsibilities (as applicable)
- Support Beginning Teacher induction and mentoring processes, including observation cycles and professional development coordination
- Assist with NCVPS and AIG programming, including student identification, enrollment, and progress monitoring
- Collaborate with instructional leadership on school improvement initiatives and compliance reporting
