Our walk‑in clinic is seeking a versatile Basic X‑Ray Machine Operator (BXMO) who is equally comfortable performing clinical Medical Assistant duties. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys direct patient care, and can balance both imaging and general clinical responsibilities with accuracy and professionalism.The BXMO/Medical Assistant supports the clinic by performing diagnostic X‑rays, assisting providers with patient care, managing clinical workflows, and ensuring a smooth, efficient patient experience. This is a hands‑on role requiring strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a walk‑in setting where patient volume varies.
Responsibilities:
X‑Ray / Imaging
- Perform high‑quality diagnostic X‑rays following physician orders and clinic protocols
- erify patient identity, obtain history, and ensure proper shielding and safety
- Maintain and calibrate X‑ray equipment; complete daily QC logs
- Upload, label, and transmit images to PACS
- Follow all state and federal radiation safety regulations
Clinical Medical Assistant Duties
- Room patients, obtain vitals, histories, and chief complaints
- Document accurately in the EMR
- Assist providers with procedures, injections, wound care, and splinting
- Perform phlebotomy, point‑of‑care testing, and EKGs
- Administer medications per provider direction
- Clean and stock exam rooms; maintain sterile supplies
- Support patient flow and ensure timely care
- Verify patient identity, obtain history, and ensure proper shielding and safety
- Maintain and calibrate X‑ray equipment; complete daily QC logs
- Upload, label, and transmit images to PACS
- Follow all state and federal radiation safety regulations
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic radiology principles.
- Proficiency in operating X-ray equipment and DICOM standards.
- Experience working in urgent care settings, emergency rooms
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control practices essential for safe imaging procedures.
- Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.

Requirements:
- Active Florida Basic X‑Ray Machine Operator (BXMO) license
- 1–2 years of clinical experience in a medical office, urgent care, or walk‑in clinic
- Proficiency with digital radiography and radiation safety protocols
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and infection control
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain professionalism under pressure
- Excellent communication and patient‑service skills
- Phlebotomy experience preferred
- CPR certification required (or obtained within 90 days)
Pay: $21.00 - $27.68 per hour
