Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Shop Manager/ Small Engine Mechanic to join our on-site team in the Hilton Head Island, South Carolina area. As a Shop Manager/ Small Engine Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing small engines on both large and small mowers, blowers, all kinds of landscaping equipment as well as and hydraulic systems on larger excavating equipment, performing regular maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, as well as ensuring all machinery operates efficiently and safely. You will alos be reaponsible for ensuring the shop remains stocked with the msterials necessary to complete any repairs that may come up as well as facilitating a system of organization for such parts. The role supports the operational success of our landscape services by maintaining our fleet of equipment and tools.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in small engine repair and maintenance
- Experience with hydraulic systems and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to maintain and repair heavy equipment with attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills and technical knowledge
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards related to equipment maintenance
- Ability to communicate and work effectively in a team environment
- Experience in landscaping or similar industries is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanics is preferred
- Driver’s License in good standing
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred but not required.
