What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary Election Worker position at Island County?
The Island County Auditor’s Elections Office is recruiting skilled temporary employees to assist with conducting the tasks and work associated with Primaries and Elections. This work requires a high level of experience with MS Word and Excel. Those selected will work on a seasonal, temporary basis during peak election periods – 2 to 4 times per year.
The work requires a high level of accuracy, and the ability to follow instructions with specificity. Tasks require extensive periods of sitting, conducting repetitive motion tasks and the ability to lift 20-35 lbs. Temporary workers will perform a variety of duties necessary to support the staff in the administration of special, primary, and general elections in Island County. Specific job duties vary frequently based on the needs of the Elections Office.
Work is conducted Monday through Friday. Days/hours of work vary depending on ballot returns. Extensive training is provided.
These are on-going temporary, seasonal, on-call positions.
