Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Field and Sector Knowledge
- Maintains working knowledge of international humanitarian standards and practices.
- Develops understanding of operating in conflict and post-conflict environments.
- Supports assessment of project feasibility and implementation considerations.
- Contributes to internal knowledge on MENA and European contexts.
- Participates in relevant forums, working groups, and sector discussions.
- Monitors regional developments and humanitarian trends.
- Conducts research on best practices to support program improvement.
- Supports grants management processes for international programs.
- Reviews and evaluates grant proposals and budgets using established criteria.
- Prepares proposal summaries and due diligence documentation.
- Assists in drafting grant agreements and coordinating with grantees.
- Maintains grant records and documentation in internal systems.
- Supports grant payments and tracks reporting requirements.
- Communicates with partners regarding reports, updates, and inquiries.
- Identifies issues and escalates or supports resolution as needed.
- Maintains program tracking systems and documentation.
- Supports monitoring and evaluation activities, including field visits as needed.
- Contributes to site visit reports and internal knowledge sharing.
- Coordinates with internal teams to share program updates.
- Reviews program materials for accuracy.
- Supports collection of case studies and media content.
- Responds to internal requests for program information.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in grants or program support.
- Some international field experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with humanitarian standards or willingness to learn.
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Cultural competence and ability to work across diverse contexts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and databases.
- Willingness to travel internationally (~15%).
- Arabic language skills are a plus.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
