Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Youth Coach to motivate and support young people in their personal growth and leadership development. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work directly with youth, fostering their skills in social interaction, conflict management, career planning, and community service. The Youth Coach will serve as a mentor, role model, and guide to help youth navigate challenges and unlock their full potential. Responsibilities
- Engage with youth through dynamic coaching sessions focused on personal development and leadership skills
- Facilitate activities that promote social skills, teamwork, and conflict resolution among participants
- Provide mentorship and support tailored to individual needs, especially for those with disabilities or behavioral health challenges
- Collaborate with families, educators, and community partners to create a positive environment for youth growth
- Assist in planning and executing experiential learning programs and community projects
- Monitor progress of participants, maintaining detailed records of achievements and areas for improvement
- Promote a safe, inclusive space where all youth feel valued and empowered
Skills
- Experience working with youth ages 12-18 in educational or community settings
- Knowledge of special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities
- Understanding of behavioral health issues relevant to youth development
- Strong mentoring abilities with a passion for guiding young people
- Excellent conflict management skills to handle challenging situations effectively
- Background in social work or child welfare is highly desirable
- Effective teaching techniques that inspire engagement and learning
