Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
- Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring presentation standards are met
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, utensils, and service areas in accordance with food safety standards
- Assist with food handling, basic food preparation, and bussing tables as needed
- Manage cash handling and cashiering duties accurately using POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
- Support guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders in a fast-paced environment
- Uphold sanitation standards and food safety regulations consistently throughout your shift
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including SpotOn
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with guests
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance sales revenue
- Culinary experience or background in food preparation is a plus
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling and bill splitting accurately
- Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation management platforms is advantageous
