What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Specialist position at ISI Demolition?
Job Summary:
Primarily responsible for promoting the Company’s safety initiatives and safety loss control programs. Ensures employee’s comply with OSHA and other construction industry standards.
Essential Job Functions:
· Clearly articulates Company’s safety vision, objectives, strategies, policies, and procedures in order to build a safety culture dedicated to behaviors which lead to best in class results.
· Promotes employee empowerment and employee engagement through leadership.
· Uses logic and reasoning to identify safety hazards on the job site and solutions to avoid issues.
· Conducting safety inspections and analyzing inspection and incident data to identify opportunities to develop preventive and corrective practices.
· Assist in employee training and development programs.

The employee is also expected to perform such other duties and functions as required from time to time.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 1 years’ experience in construction industry preferred.
· Basic knowledge of construction related OSHA, federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
· Must be an effective communicator.
· Must have a valid driver’s license.
· Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Bilingual preferred
Working Conditions:
· Extensive travel by vehicle.
· Significant work at construction job sites, during all stages, in all types of weather conditions.
· Must be able to perform activities requiring use of arms and legs, including climbing ladders/scaffolding, lifting & handling materials, walking & balancing, stooping.
· Must be able to speak & hear detailed information through oral communication.
· Must be able to see clearly and recognize small details.
