Field Service Technician
Job Summary:
Opportunity to join a growing company as a Field Service Technician, to support filter press installations and screw press installations in North America. Support with installations, startup, training, maintenance, periodic inspections, and equipment optimization. Support aftermarket parts sales. Perform pilot testing for screw presses & filter presses.
Work Scope & Expectations: This role supports customer sites across North America and requires frequent travel (typical travel: 50%). Most trips are for a full week.
General Accountabilities, including but not limited to
· Support sales of screw presses and parts, by providing technical support to end users.
· Startup & commissioning of new installations
· Provide training in maintenance and operation of equipment
- Perform maintenance visits/inspections of existing equipment to help solve problems, make recommendations, optimize equipment operation.
- Provide customer support following installations, including any necessary visits to assist with maintenance/operation.
- Make recommendations of OEM parts required to maintain or improve operation.
- Perform pilot testing as needed for screw press & filter press, as well as bench testing.
- Prepare trip reports for any visits/installations/start ups.
- Work closely with Ishigaki USA Sales team.
Job Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related experience.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years’ experience. Hands on mechanical experience required. Waste treatment experience helpful. Experience working on municipal projects helpful.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of a personal computer and corresponding programs.
- Interpersonal skills - the ability to develop a strong rapport with customers.
- Prior experience working with screw presses or filter presses helpful.
- Must be mechanically inclined.
- Some controls knowledge/understanding helpful.
- Must be willing to travel in North America
