Job Summary:
As a Dietary Aide, you will work under the direction and supervision of the Director of Food Service or Assistant Food Service Director to assist in the preparation and service of food. Your responsibilities will include preparing and/or assisting in preparation of meals, snacks, and beverages, as well as assembling trays, cleaning and storing supplies and equipment. You will also be responsible for continuously cleaning food service work areas as food preparation and service are done, labeling nourishment, and sending or transporting it to resident floors.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares and/or assists in preparation of meals, snacks, and beverages
- Assembles trays, cleans and stores supplies and equipment
- Continuously cleans food service work areas as food preparation and service are done
- Labels nourishment, sends or transports it to resident floors
- Transports trays and carts to or from resident floors
- Uses all equipment according to manufacturer instructions
- Follows proper cleaning techniques and preventative maintenance schedules
- Handles, stores, and disposes of food supplies and prepares food in accord with department procedures and in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Communicates with Director of Food Service or Assistant Director of Food Service throughout shift as needed to best meet needs of residents
- Attends in-service education as assigned and applies information to job tasks
- Must be able to work every other weekend and holidays and as needed to ensure proper staffing levels
Requirements:

- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
