The Food Service Aide works in the kitchen assisting in the preparation and service of food and follows a cleaning schedule. The service of food may include the transporting of food trays to the nursing units.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Food Service Aide may be responsible for some and/or all of the following functions some and/or all of the time under the assignment and direction of his/her supervisor.
- Assists in preparing of meals, snacks or beverages.
- Responsible for or assists in assembling trays, cleaning and storage of supplies and equipment.
- Continuously cleans food service work areas as food preparation and service is done.
- Labels nourishment and sends or transports them to resident floors.
- Transporting trays and carts to or from the resident floors.
- Available rotating weekends and holidays.
- Communicates with Director of Food Service and Cook throughout shift as needed to best meet needs of residents.
