Primary Responsibilities
- Hands on leadership of 5 mechanics supporting 75 person facility equipped with multiple types of machinery
- Directs and assists team members with electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
- Maintains inventory and oversees purchases of parts
- Establishes and adjusts work procedures and schedules to meet company demand
- Motivate and implement safety procedures, recognition, and accountability
- Collaborate with departmental managers to meet plant goals
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Collaborates on the root cause analysis of equipment failures and implements fixes.
- Coordinates preventative maintenance with the production planning staff.
- Receives and reviews maintenance requests and prioritizes maintenance activities based on urgency and availability of resources.
- Inspects equipment regularly to identify current and potential maintenance needs.
- Maintains records and documentation related to equipment and workforce
- Manages the work of technical maintenance staff, contractors, or subcontractors.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required, Associates preferred.
- Technical and mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Experience: General computer experience; organizational skills.
- 5 years supervising others successfully
- Motivated team player capable of meeting tight deadlines
