Direct Support Professional (DSP) Immediate Openings!! Flexibility to either location. House # 1 is located in Richmond, VA 23231, and House # 2 is located a half block from Walmart, Mechanicsville, VA 23111.

Evening Shift:

• On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thurdays, and Fridays the shifts are 3:00 PM until 10: 00 PM
• On Wednesdays, you will be scheduled either from 12:00 PM until 10:00 PM, or 3:00 PM until 10: 00 PM
• Every other weekend, availability is required and mandatory: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Isaiah Peace, LLC does not hire for shifts from 7:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m. If this is a shift you are interested in, Isaiah Peace, LLC does not offer and is not able to accommodate this shift request:

Individuals attend day support during the week; therefore, Isaiah Peace, LLC is currently hiring for every other weekend.

Compensation: $15.00-$17.50 based on experience

Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to provide exceptional care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, aging needs, or health challenges. In this role, you will assist residents with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, and committed to enhancing the quality of life for those in our care. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalized support and caregiving.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Support residents with medication administration and monitor vital signs as needed
• Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary plans and assist residents during meal times
• Provide patient observation to identify any changes in health or behavior and report findings appropriately
• Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely for resident transfers and mobility assistance
• Maintain the cleanliness of living spaces by performing light cleaning tasks to promote a healthy environment
• Implement individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, including dementia, Alzheimer's, or autism-specific care
• Engage residents in social activities and community outings to promote socialization and well-being
• Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure the confidentiality and privacy of resident information
• Document care provided accurately in accordance with agency policies and procedures

Skills:

• Prior experience in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care preferred
• Knowledge of patient care techniques, including CPR, First Aid, and vital signs monitoring
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or memory care needs
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting residents with mobility or transfers
• Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and safety awareness
• Compassionate communication skills to effectively interact with residents and team members
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, and HIPAA compliance is highly desirable
• Physical stamina for long shifts involving standing, walking, or assisting residents throughout the day
