Chaplains achieve this by balancing their heart and working knowledge of IH policies, procedures and available programs resources.

Chaplains achieve this by balancing their heart and working knowledge of IH policies, procedures and available programs resources.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prefer a minimum Associates degree in Theology or equivalent or 1 year’s previous experience.
- Experience in crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills. Can be post hire.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Valid Kentucky driver’s license.
- Facilitate daily devotions and thought provoking and inclusionary devotion. Be sensitive to the spiritual temperature of each center and tailor your devotion accordingly. Get clients involved and participating.
- Facilitate devotions for staff as scheduled.
- Be visible and discern opportunities to provide encouragement as appropriate for staff and clients.
- Engaged in individual discipleship with interested staff and clients.
- Driving – On occasion you may be asked to drive a IH vehicle so you must be proficient in and adhere to all driving policies.
- Visitation – On occasion our staff and clients may need pastoral care away from IH facilities for example hospital and bereavement.
- Collaborate with case and clinical teams as needed. This means keeping confidentiality regarding all aspects of the client’s recovery. Always bring information of threatening harm to self, others, or animals to the team, as well as potential walk offs.
- Be well versed in all policies and rules.
- Adheres to Isaiah House policies and procedures.
- Attends mandatory in-services and other training/educational programs as required.
