Job Posting: Executive Director
Isaiah 58 NH is seeking candidates for a 30 hour/week Executive Director position to lead Isaiah’s efforts to end homelessness and housing insecurity in western
Rockingham County.
Working in conjunction with Board of Directors, other housing organizations, community outreach workers, local faith-based communities, and community human service departments to identify and engage homeless and housing insecure individuals within western Rockingham County to link these families and individuals to housing, health care, employment, financial, mental health, and other supportive services.
Responsibilities:
- Research and lead efforts to obtain grants and other funding opportunities to support and grow the organization and mission of Isaiah 58 NH.
- Manage a small team of paid, contracted and volunteer staff handling administrative, facility maintenance, financial tracking, and fundraising activities.
- Attend scheduled community meetings and develop relationships with local businesses, community and faith organizations, service providers and community social services to develop programs to meet the needs of the housing insecure and create affordable housing options.
- Conduct outreach to community-based programs to develop relationships and build rapport with the housing insecure and link them to needed services and housing within the community.
- Oversee staff providing case management services to support families and individuals in achieving their identified goals including the provision of information, referrals, and advocacy to link them to public benefits, employment assistance, housing, and health resources.
- Provide support for individuals as they transition from homelessness and housing insecurity to housing; working with local community resources to ensure a sustainable transition from homelessness and housing insecurity to a permanent home.
- Enroll individuals in regional housing waiting list and mainstream services.
- Document outreach efforts and other contacts with clients as well as case management notes related to ongoing work with them in achieving their goals.
Qualifications :
- Degree in related field preferred
- Ability to engage and establish rapport with sometime hard to reach clients.
- Ability to exercise mature and professional judgment.
- Good problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- A highly motivated self-starter with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and tasks.
- Flexible, adaptable, and capable of working in a fast paced, professional environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Non-profit experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good computer skills.
- Must maintain a valid driver's license.
- Must undergo and pass CORI check before hiring.
Job Type: Part-time.
Salary: $25 to $30/hour depending on skills and/or qualifications.
