Boys Apparel Designer – Infant, Baby & Toddler
We're looking for a creative and commercially minded Mid-Senior Apparel Designer to join our growing team and lead the design and development of trend-right collections for Infant, Baby, and Toddler. This role is ideal for a designer who has a strong eye for trend, color, print, and product, while also understanding the unique balance of comfort, functionality, and value required in children's apparel.
Key Responsibilities
- Design seasonal collections across multiple categories including bodysuits, sets, rompers, dresses, knit and woven tops, leggings, joggers, fleece, outerwear, sleepwear, and accessories.
- Develop seasonal color palettes, fabric direction, print concepts, graphics, and silhouette ideas that align with market trends and customer needs.
- Research and interpret fashion, lifestyle, color, print, and consumer trends to create compelling product assortments.
- Create CADs, tech packs, and development packages from concept through production.
- Partner closely with Product Development, Merch/Design, Sales, Sourcing, and Art teams to bring product to market while maintaining design integrity and cost targets.
- Review samples, provide fit and construction comments, and participate in product development meetings.
- Support retailer-specific programs across Mass Market, Club, Off-Price, Department Store, and Specialty channels.
- Participate in customer presentations, seasonal line reviews, and assortment planning discussions.
Qualifications
- 5–8 years of apparel design experience, preferably with a focus on Infant, Baby, Toddler, Children's, or Family Apparel.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fabric development, fit, print techniques, and value-driven product creation.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
- Experience creating CADs, tech packs, trend presentations, color palettes, and print direction.
- Ability to identify emerging trends and translate them into commercially successful products.
- Experience working within licensed product for mass market, club, off-price, or specialty retail environments preferred.
- Private Label experience is a plus.
