Install Apprentice

Job Description:

Cornetta Brothers Plumbing & Heating is currently in search of an Install Apprentice in Elmont, NY. The ideal candidate for this position will have 2-4 of experience in plumbing and/or heating installs, and possess a strong willingness to learn and grow, with a genuine desire to continue learning the skills necessary to become a proficient and highly effective Installer. 

Summary:

For nearly 80 years, fourth-generation family -operated Cornetta Bros. Plumbing & Heating has been a cornerstone of the Elmont community by providing superior service and a total commitment to customer satisfaction. Cornetta partners with leading HVAC and plumbing companies throughout the United States, providing the support and resources of a large national company.

 Responsibilities:

• Perform installation of Plumbing and Heating, including Water heaters, PV Water Heaters, Humidifiers, Dryer Vents.
• Interact with business owners to educate, build relationships, and understand and address their concerns.
• Develop basic knowledge of mechanical piping and ductwork.
• Ensure the equipment that was installed is clean, safe, and up to high standards before departure.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, generators, and other equipment as required by the job.

 Job Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• OSHA 10-hour Certificate preferred
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• 2-4 years of install experience

The starting base range for this position is $25 to $32 an hour. This is the range of the base pay only, it does not include other components that make up the total compensation package of the position. If offered a position, your total compensation package will be determined by experience, location, skills, and/or education which may result in a total compensation package that falls outside of the provided range.

Salary : $25 - $32
