Job Title: Project Management Lead
Position Overview
The Project Management Lead manages a team of Project Managers and/or Project Coordinators responsible for executing seating projects across key markets such as performing arts centers, education, arenas, and stadiums. This role ensures project delivery excellence by providing oversight, coaching, and cross-functional coordination that aligns with Irwin’s standards for quality, timeliness, and customer satisfaction.
The Project Management Lead acts as a liaison between Irwin and its customers to ensure a positive and seamless experience. This role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and empathy skills, as well as the ability to identify process improvement opportunities based on customer feedback. This leader will work closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Installation teams to drive alignment, optimize delivery efficiency, and uphold Irwin’s reputation for outstanding customer experiences. A strong background in construction or architectural project management is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a team responsible for managing multiple customer-facing projects.
- Cultivate a customer-centric culture driven by accountability, empathy, collaboration, and proactive, solution-focused action.
- Provide regular feedback and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Act as a mentor and escalation point for complex or high-risk projects.
- Promote best practices in project planning, documentation, and communication.
Project Delivery Oversight
- Ensure all projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and aligned with customer expectations and contractual requirements.
- Oversee portfolio performance including project status, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Support team members in identifying and mitigating risks, resolving conflicts, and managing scope changes.
- Maintain visibility into major project milestones and proactively address issues that could impact delivery.
- Coordinate cross-functional resources to ensure site readiness and successful installation execution.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Installation teams to align project execution with customer requirements.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, Layout and Operations to ensure material availability, delivery scheduling, and installation coordination.
- Participate in enterprise-level project planning meetings and communicate site-level updates as needed.
- Support process improvement initiatives to streamline communication and reduce project cycle times.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a secondary point of contact for key customers, contractors, dealers and architects as needed to support project success
- Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to manage client relationships and resolve escalated issues.
- Represent Irwin with professionalism and integrity in all customer and partner interactions.
Process Improvement & Reporting
- Monitor and analyze team performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and standardize tools, templates, and best practices that improve project delivery consistency.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including lessons-learned sessions and post-project reviews.
- Provide regular reporting on project performance, backlog status, and resource planning to relevant teams and leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 7 years of progressive experience in project management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
- Strong preference for experience in construction, architectural products, or large-scale installation project environments.
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-phase projects from inception through installation.
- Exceptional leadership, coaching, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, and risk management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems; project management software experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, contracts, and technical documents.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for site visits and team support.

FLSA Status: Exempt
Compensation: The compensation range for this full-time position is $90,000-$110,000 per year. Within this range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including but not limited to: relevant work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and complexity of the role. Irwin is happy to offer a full comprehensive benefits package, with insurance coverage starting on the first day of employment.
