Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Position Overview
As a Manufacturing Engineer at Irwin, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and improving manufacturing operations within your assigned focused factory or work area. This position emphasizes process enhancements, cost reduction strategies, product improvement, and collaborative support across cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Equipment and Process Support
- Provide comprehensive support for equipment procurement, installation, and implementation.
- Troubleshoot production issues to resolve product quality concerns effectively and promptly.
- Conduct product and process design improvements to enhance operational performance.
- Utilize CAD software for drafting and maintaining engineering drawings.
Manufacturing Methodology and Workflow Optimization
- Develop, evaluate, and refine manufacturing methods to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Analyze workforce utilization, space allocation, and workflow patterns; design equipment and workspace layouts for optimal efficiency.
- Leverage Continuous Improvement (CI) tools, including problem-solving, work balance techniques, and process mapping, to enhance operational processes.
Daily Operations and Support
- Provide ongoing support for daily production processes and manufacturing cells.
- Create and maintain accurate work instructions for production teams.
- Assist in product and process changes through the Engineering Change Notice (ECN) and Special Process Review (SPR) processes.
New Product Implementation
- Support the implementation of new product launches, ensuring seamless integration into manufacturing operations.
- Improve and adapt existing cell layouts to meet evolving production demands.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Engineering; or equivalent 2 years of experience or combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proficiency in CAD software for drafting and design work.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and methodologies.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement (CI) tools and concepts preferred.
- Experience in process improvement and production support preferred.?
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues and optimize manufacturing processes.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

FLSA Status: Exempt
Compensation: The base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000 - $90,000. Within this range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including but not limited to: relevant work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and complexity of the role.
