Job Title: Pricing Analyst
Position Overview
The Pricing Analyst is an entry-level position supporting Irwin’s pricing and sales operations by preparing accurate and timely project proposals. This role is responsible for processing pricing requests, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and ensuring proposals are aligned with project scope and customer requirements. The Pricing Analyst collaborates closely with Field Partners, Regional Sales Managers (RSMs), and Territory Sales Managers (TSMs) to support sales efforts and maintain data accuracy across pricing systems and tools.
This role is ideal for someone early in their career who demonstrates attention to detail, strong communication skills, and an interest in developing analytical capabilities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Quote Development & Support
- Prepare standard project pricing proposals based on submitted requests from Field Partners, RSMs, and TSMs.
- Gather and incorporate freight and installation quotes as needed to complete proposals.
- Identify incomplete or unclear requests and proactively follow up to obtain missing information.
- Assist in drafting and updating pricing for smaller or lower-complexity projects under the guidance of senior pricing team members.
Sales Coordination & Communication
- Communicate regularly with sales team members to clarify quote scope, pricing assumptions, and proposal timelines.
- Develop foundational product knowledge to support responses to general questions about configurations, process steps, and pricing logic.
- Participate in project handoff discussions to ensure seamless transition from pricing to order fulfillment.
Administrative & Data Management
- Enter and maintain quote tracking data in Salesforce, including quote dates and project status updates.
- Ensure documentation related to pricing activity is complete and properly organized.
- Participate in bid administration activities by supporting the collection and submission of bid documents when needed.
Process Improvement & Collaboration
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in the pricing process, tools, and documentation.
- Assist in identifying common challenges and support root cause analysis efforts as part of team problem-solving events.
- Provide feedback to help streamline pricing workflows and improve service to sales partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- 1 years of relevant experience in pricing, estimating, sales support, or a related field preferred; experience in manufacturing or construction industries is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with ERP or CRM systems (e.g., Infor, Salesforce) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to follow structured processes.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Willingness to learn product specifications, pricing strategies, and technical documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced team environment.

FLSA Status: Exempt
Compensation: The base salary range for this full-time position is $56,000 - $66,000 per year. Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including but not limited to: relevant work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and complexity of the role.
