Job Description What you can expect in a typical day: We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Field Acquisition Representative to join our team in Southern NH & VT. Reporting to our Manager of Commercial Sales, the key focus of this role is acquiring new business across your territory. This position requires prospecting customers; therefore, we need your tenacious work ethic to drive product sales and ensure that we are sourcing any available opportunities in your area. Our ideal candidate is well-versed in Salesforce, collaborative, as well as extremely motivated with a desire to leave no stone unturned. Heating Oil, Diesel, and Propane industry experience would be preferred. Please note that frequent travel is a requirement for this role. What we offer: Competitive salary, commission and 401K plan Flexible benefits, including a Health Spending Account Wellness support, including annual wellness allowance and paid personal care days Paid vacation and optional vacation purchasing Personal and professional development opportunities Your Roles and Responsibilities: Sell complex offerings or bundle multiple offerings Create and track sales leads to achieve targets Spot leads in other areas of the business (cross leads), responding to cross leads within 24 hours Collaborate with account managers in your channel and across other business lines Ensure sales pipeline remains current with only those leads and opportunities that are progressing to commitment Monitor activated accounts to ensure volume and gross margin is fully realized as committed to on the opportunity Discover and capture all pertinent customer information Build profitable solution to achieve a win/win customer offer Understand complex opportunities and submit complex deals for approval as required Understand credit granting requirements Communicate internally with key stakeholders and groups to ensure a great customer experience Forecast opportunities that will close in the next 30/60 days First point of customer contact with new customers once the customer has activated or taken first order Collaborate with account manager to transition new customer to the account management team Participate in sales meetings as laid out in the sales management meeting cadence Present close the gap plans/adjust activity levels if forecast is not on plan Professional skills Proven ability to prospect new accounts Ability to develop a territory plan Must be able to handle multiple tasks with strong attention to detail Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to organize and prioritize workload Able to present winning solutions Familiarity with sales tools such as Microsoft Office & Sales CRM (customer relationship management tool) Travel Travel to customer sites within the territory is a daily requirement for this role. A reliable, personal vehicle is required for this role and is supported through our vehicle reimbursement program. Education and experience University degree in Business Administration or Commerce preferred. Sales Designation (or willingness to obtain) 5-8 years’ experience in a sales/marketing and customer service. Experience in the petroleum industry is an asset. Salesforce experience is an asset.
