Role Description
We are seeking a Lead Teacher for a full-time, on-site position located in Chicago, IL. The Lead Teacher will design and implement lesson plans, create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment, and guide children through both structured and exploratory activities. The role involves fostering developmentally-appropriate skill-building opportunities in collaboration with other educators, maintaining open communication with families, and ensuring the well-being and safety of all students. The Lead Teacher will also mentor and provide training to assistant teachers as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Lesson Planning and Teaching to deliver effective and engaging educational experiences.
- Proven expertise in Education and Training to nurture developmentally-appropriate growth in young learners.
- Exceptional Communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members.
- A bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is required.
- State-mandated teaching certification or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
- Experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting is an advantage.
