Key Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility is to develop, manage, and direct the sales team and related sales activities within the region.
- Represent the company with customers, industry-related associations, federal, state and local government agencies.
- Confers with the sales representatives to develop sales objectives for market areas and recommends pricing strategies and promotional programs for key customers; introduces new and existing customers to new product lines to promote growth of market share.
- Responsible for leading sales group in identifying, working with and tracking projects in the early stage of development through completion.
- Negotiates pricing with customers while maintaining relationships.
- Forecasts short and long term sales volumes. Monitors and reports market conditions and their possible effects on the company.
- Analyzes market segments and positions sales volumes to achieve a diverse and stable customer base while maintaining overall market position.
- Works with the credit department to help resolve major problems or credit issues with delinquent accounts.
- Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
- Other duties or special projects as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in business management, sales/marketing, construction management, or related field and/or equivalent experience, plus a minimum of five years of sales experience desired.
- Strong and effective communicator, strong analytical skills; and ability to manage, implement, and adapt to change.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate others.
- Ability to provide direct and actionable feedback.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral communication.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
- Must be willing to reside within the region of responsibility.
Compensation:
