Key Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility is to develop, manage and direct the operations team and related operational activities within the region.
- Provide direction to assure safe operational practices, and maintain cost controls on production and delivery of products.
- Responsible for assisting in the hiring, training and evaluation of personnel in order to assure an adequate workforce and identify employees for potential advancement; proper staffing levels; management of the labor relations environment within the assigned area.
- Maximize equipment availability and minimize repair costs through effective operating practices and preventative maintenance procedures; assure cleanliness of assigned plants and equipment.
- Responsible for accident prevention, investigation and proper reporting.
- Maintain accurate and adequate inventories; responsible for procurement management of raw materials at competitive cost to the company, specifically, aggregates for use in concrete, material hauls and others as requested by management. Monitor invoices for cost control; review daily plant and equipment reports.
- Monitor special projects and perform other managerial duties as directed.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in business management, construction management, or related field and/or equivalent experience, plus a minimum of five (5) years of operations related management experience.
- Strong and effective communication and analytical skills; ability to manage, implement and adapt to change.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate others.
- Ability to provide direct and actionable feedback.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication.
- Advanced computer skills, including MS Office and Google Office products
- Must be willing to reside within the region of responsibility
- Bilingual/Spanish Speaking a Plus
