Primary Purpose:
Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of all District athletic fields. Supervise and perform surface and sub-surface work required in the preparation and upkeep of District grounds and properties. Work with others to coordinate, establish and maintain landscaping, fencing, asphalt, and concrete repairs through the use of heavy equipment and utility crews.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification
High School Diploma or GED, preferred- Valid Class-C Texas driver’s license and proof of insurability with District insurance carrier
Special Knowledge/Skills
- Ability to demonstrate, coach, and train others in the proper use and operation of heavy equipment
- Knowledge of the material make-up of concrete and asphalt, and the effects of weather in pouring, patching, and finishing
- Ability to supervise, train, coordinate, and work with other trades
- Skilled in strong organizational, communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills
- Ability to utilize technology resources relevant to position
Experience
Three years operation of tractors, front-end loaders, backhoes, graders, buckets, and various heavy equipment experience, and experience with utility, asphalt, and concrete work and repair, preferred.
