SVP Head of AI

Our client is seeking an accomplished technology leader to define and drive the next phase of their AI strategy. This role will lead the build-out of a product engineering and AI Center of Excellence, shaping how advanced AI solutions are designed, developed, and applied across the organization. With a mandate to tie together strategy and execution, you will spearhead the use of Generative AI, machine learning, and agentic workflows to transform operations and unlock new value.

• Location: Downtown Los Angeles (2 days a week onsite)
• Compensation: This direct hire/full-time role is expected to pay up to about $215 base plus strong bonus & benefits package

What You ll Do:

• Build and lead a high-performing AI engineering team to deliver end-to-end solutions from design through deployment.
• Define the strategic roadmap for AI, ensuring alignment of data readiness, technology, and business goals.
• Architect scalable, cloud-agnostic infrastructure to support experimentation and production systems.
• Lead initiatives in Generative AI, RAG, copilots, and agentic workflows to address operational inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to prioritize initiatives and embed AI into business strategy.

What Gets You the Job:

• 10 years of experience in software and AI engineering, with at least 5 years focused on ML/AI systems.
• Track record of building and deploying Generative AI solutions that deliver measurable impact.
• Expertise in Python and frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, HuggingFace, and LangChain.
• Experience with large language models (GPT, Claude, Mistral) and building agentic AI platforms.
• Ability to balance technical exploration with product focus, driving results in complex environments.
