Duties
- Develop comprehensive drum curricula tailored to different skill levels and age groups, incorporating elements of rhythm, technique, and musicality
- Lead engaging individual and group lessons that motivate students to achieve their personal goals
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe and respectful learning environment
- Incorporate diverse teaching methods including lesson planning, hands-on practice, and multimedia tools such as photography or video demonstrations
- Adapt instruction for students with special educational needs or varying learning styles
- Organize performance opportunities and assist with recital preparations to showcase student progress
- Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, student progress, and attendance
- Collaborate with other instructors in multidisciplinary programs that may include theater, dance (such as ballet or dancing), or culinary arts to enrich the overall educational experience
Experience
- Proven experience in teaching drums or percussion instruments at various levels, including classroom management and curriculum development
- Strong background in working with children, early childhood education, preschool experience, or adult education settings
- Familiarity with classroom experience across different environments and age groups
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to foster positive learning atmospheres
- Experience integrating creative arts such as theater or dance into music education is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to plan lessons effectively while adapting to individual student needs
- Additional skills in photography, sewing, culinary arts, or other creative disciplines are advantageous but not required

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
