The Information Security Project Manager leads and manages mid-size information security projects through the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. This role coordinates internal teams, external stakeholders, vendors, and consultants to ensure successful project delivery while managing scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead information security projects through initiation, planning, execution, monitoring/control, and closure
- Establish project operating procedures and serve as a project management resource within the content area
- Coordinate internal/external participants, stakeholders, consultants, and vendors
- Manage schedules, budgets, risks, status reporting, and communications
- Ensure deliverables meet quality expectations and align with project objectives
- Handle escalations, document lessons learned, and support transition to operations/support teams
- Provide knowledge transfer
- B.S., B.A., or Associate Degree in Information Technology or a related field
- 5 years of experience in a Service Delivery role
- 3 years of experience with IT implementations
- 1 year of experience with IT Security work efforts and implementations
- Experience with waterfall, agile, and hybrid methodologies
- Experience in change management and related tools
- Ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Skilled at influencing without direct authority, fostering collaboration, and building consensus
