What are the responsibilities and job description for the Signing Paraprofessional position at Iroquois Special Education Association?
Duties: The sign language paraprofessional is responsible for supporting the student in all classroom activities, which includes providing language access during all times of the day. Consulting with the general education teacher and the Deaf education teacher are also priorities to understand the needs of the student.
Requirements: Illinois paraprofessional license required; Preference will give to candidates with sign language experience or willingness to learn and complete on the job training from the Teahcer of the Deaf.
