What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) per diem position at Iroquois Skilled Nursing Community?
- Available Weekdays and/or Weekends.
- Works under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
- Performs patient related activities as are assigned by the supervising occupational therapist.
- Documents observations of patient’s behavior and progress in the daily notes, progress notes, recertifications, and discharge notes.
- Completes and maintains timely documentation.
- Maintains statistical records and other departmental reports as requested by occupational therapist.
- Meets with the supervising occupational therapist regularly to review the implementation of treatment plans and to foster professional development.
- Provides quality, personalized and evidence-based care, and proven interventions.
- Performs all position duties according to safety rules and practices required for this position, and as required to ensure the general safety of staff, residents and visitors of this facility.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor, management staff or Administrator
