Job Overview

We are seeking skilled Ironworkers to join our great Union in Chattanooga, TN. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Steel Erection, demonstrating proficiency in various welding techniques and the ability to work with heavy rigging. As an Ironworker, you will play a crucial role in constructing and assembling Steel structures, ensuring safety and quality standards are met at all times. Some jobs will require a background check.

Duties

• Fabricate and Erect Steel Structures using various welding techniques including SMAW & FCAW .
• Operate Man Lifts and Forklifts and other machinery as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and adhere to safety regulations.
• Conduct inspections of completed work to maintain high-quality standards.
• Utilize forklifts for the transportation of materials around the job site, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines.

Experience

• Proven experience as an Ironworker or in a similar role within the construction industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with various welding techniques and metal fabrication processes is essential.
• Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Experience operating forklifts and other heavy machinery is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
