Ironwood West Michigan Group is growing our Kalamazoo team and is looking for an Entry-Level Sales Representative who enjoys working with people, learning new skills, and being part of an energetic, team-focused environment.

You do not need previous sales experience to be considered.

We're looking for people who are personable, dependable, comfortable starting conversations, and willing to learn. If you've worked in retail, restaurants, hospitality, customer service, or another people-focused position, you may already have many of the skills we're looking for.

This is a full-time, W-2, in-person retail position with $16.00–$20.00 per hour in base pay. Additional performance-based incentives may also be available.

You'll work directly with customers inside an assigned retail location in the Kalamazoo area, helping customers understand available products and services, answering questions, discussing current promotions, and assisting with purchases or enrollment.

Depending on the assigned campaign, our team may support consumer products and services within industries such as wireless and telecommunications, home internet and connectivity, energy services, and other consumer-focused services.

Paid training and ongoing coaching are provided.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

We want candidates to know what to expect before they interview.

This is an active, customer-facing position. You'll spend your day interacting with customers, asking questions, learning what they need, and helping them understand the options available to them.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Greeting and engaging customers in a friendly, professional manner
• Starting face-to-face conversations with customers
• Asking questions to understand individual customer needs
• Learning assigned products, services, features, pricing, and promotions
• Explaining available options clearly and accurately
• Helping customers compare products or services
• Recommending appropriate options based on customer needs
• Answering customer questions
• Assisting customers throughout the purchase or enrollment process
• Providing a positive customer experience from beginning to end
• Maintaining accurate and current product knowledge
• Working toward individual and team customer service and sales goals
• Participating in paid training and ongoing coaching
• Representing Ironwood West Michigan Group professionally within the assigned retail environment

Compensation

Base Pay: $16.00–$20.00 per hour

This is a full-time, W-2 hourly position.

Starting base pay within the posted range is based on relevant experience, position responsibilities, and interview evaluation.

Additional performance-based incentives may be available based on individual results.

Performance-based incentives are separate from the $16.00–$20.00 hourly base compensation and are not guaranteed.

Paid Training & Development

You aren't expected to know everything on your first day.

Ironwood West Michigan Group provides paid training and ongoing coaching to help new team members become comfortable and confident in their responsibilities.

Schedule & Work Environment

This is a full-time, in-person retail position in the Kalamazoo area.

Candidates should be comfortable with:

• Working in person
• Working directly with customers throughout the day
• An active retail environment
• Weekday availability
• Some evening and weekend availability based on retail operating hours and business needs

Specific scheduling expectations and the assigned work location will be discussed during the interview process.
