Chef & Line Cooks

Restaurant is open Wednesday - Saturday for Lunch & Dinner. Candidate must be available at least those days Tuesday for prep & ordering. Hiring can occur within 1-3 days, as these positions need urgent filling.

Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our kitchen staff, creating exceptional dining experiences, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of food preparation, management, and hospitality, with a passion for delivering outstanding culinary experiences.

Duties:

• Manage and lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff to achieve exceptional results
• Oversee menu planning, food preparation, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality
• Conduct inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize waste
• Collaborate with the hospitality team to create a seamless dining experience for guests
• Develop and implement recipes, cooking techniques, and plating styles
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
• Train and mentor junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge
• Manage food costs and optimize profitability
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and handle customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner
• Participate in banquet and catering events, ensuring exceptional food and service
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
• Conduct regular kitchen inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
• Implement innovative and creative ideas to improve the dining experience
• Manage kitchen operations during peak periods, ensuring efficient and organized service
• Oversee the maintenance of kitchen equipment and utensils
• Manage the ordering and receiving of supplies and ingredients
• Develop and manage kitchen budgets and schedules

Experience:

• Proven experience as a Head Chef in a high-end restaurant or hospitality establishment
• A strong background in food preparation, hospitality, and food industry management
• Experience in banquet and catering events
• Proficiency in kitchen management, inventory management, and food cost control
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• A passion for culinary excellence and a commitment to innovation and creativity
• A thorough understanding of food safety regulations and practices
• A strong commitment to customer satisfaction and hospitality

Skills:

• Extensive knowledge of food preparation and presentation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40, $60,000.00 per year
