Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead all HR functions and support the continued growth of our organization. This is a hands-on leadership role that partners closely with management to drive employee engagement, talent development, compliance, recruiting, and organizational success.
Responsibilities
- · Manages and supports the organization’s HR and safety practices, policies, and programs, to align with business goals and the needs of multiple locations.
- · Research and recommends new or enhanced HR practices, policies, or programs, ensuring approved changes are effectively implemented and communicated across the business.
- · Oversees and maintains HR and safety records required by law, including but not limited to: Affirmative Action Plan, Vest 100 & 100A, Tier 11 & TRI Environmental reporting; EEOC, MIOSHA 300 & 300A.
- · Ensures legal compliance, maintains records, and protects confidential information.
- · Assists with developing and maintaining job descriptions, ensuring roles are properly classified and compliant with federal and state requirements.
- · Prepares HR related reports, budgets, and conducts research concerning compensation planning.
- · Leads performance management initiatives, promoting consistent use of tools and assessments to develop leaders and measure team members’ progress toward business goals.
- · Manages and supports recruiting activities, partnering with hiring managers to ensure effective hiring.
- · Oversee onboarding, orientation, offboarding, and employee transitions, including coordination of leaves of absence and other milestones.
- · Manages, collaborates, and supports the management team on tough employee issues, investigations, and transitions providing recommendations and guidance on effective solutions and/or appropriate actions, ensuring thorough documentation, investigation, and policy/procedure compliance.
- · Communicates benefits program information.
- · Actively participates in employee relations activities and initiatives that foster an environment for employee engagement, safety, and wellness.
- · Actively participates and attends department or committee meetings, providing input toward department goals and objectives, while providing direction or recommendations on departmental best practices and process improvement initiatives that will promote efficiency.
- · Collaborates and assists parent company HR and legal departments on broader initiatives, audits, and other matters.
- · Always demonstrates a high degree of ethical standards and integrity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Leadership, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Experience supporting multiple HR functions in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, recruiting, performance management, and HR compliance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
