Role Description
Entry-level role focused on supporting Ironwood’s accounting team. Hands-on training will be provided on job-specific skills and knowledge, with opportunities to learn about the alternative investment industry.
Responsibilities
- Support the accounting team’s daily operations and administration:
- Monitor and organize department email inbox
- Manage document collection using document management software
- Assist with recording and reconciliation of investment performance, investment activities, cash transactions, fund expenses, and investor activities.
- Process expense payments and other cash movements
- Process loan borrow and paydown requests
- Build and maintain relationships with external service providers
- Assist with reporting for senior management and other Ironwood teams
- Maintain organized and thorough documentation
- Perform other related tasks or projects as assigned
Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with strong academic record
- 2 years of experience in a professional or corporate office environment; formal accounting experience is not required.
- Strong Excel skills (vlookup, sumif functions, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and take on challenges
- Ability to work independently to meet deadlines & complete projects
- Strong collaborative mindset and willingness to support teammates
