Job Description:
IronWatch Security is currently hiring for Event Security Officers for the 2026/2027 season at the Dulles Expo Center in Sterling, VA. This is a seasonal position.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and patrol designated event perimeters to prevent unauthorized access.
- Maintain a visible security presence to deter disruptive or unsafe behavior.
- Control crowd flow and assist with crowd management during event entry, exit, and high-traffic periods.
- Enforce event rules, policies, and safety procedures.
- Respond professionally to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations.
- Assist guests with directions, questions, and general event information.
- Work closely with event staff, venue management, and law enforcement when necessary.
- Complete incident reports and document any security concerns.
Qualifications:
- Strong observation and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced environments.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
- Previous security, military, law enforcement, or customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Prior security or event experience is a plus
- DCJS registration is required at time of application
Uniform Requirements:
- Uniform shirts will be provided
- Please arrive in black pants and black shoes
- Shirts must be tucked in at all times while on duty

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
