Job Overview
The Preschool Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children aged 3 to 5 years. This role includes planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth while preparing children for kindergarten and fostering school readiness, in alignment with Head Start Performance Standards and program goals. The Preschool Teacher collaborates closely with families to support each child's learning and development. Also, this position oversees classroom operations, including effective classroom management, accurate recordkeeping, and maintaining active supervision of children.
Qualification
- Education
- Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, child development, or a related field; Bachelor's or Master's preferred.
- Experience
- Experience working with children under the age of 5 years.
- Strong computer skills, including familiarity with data management and reporting systems
- Requirements
- Ability to conduct home visits, including reliable transportation and a valid driver's license for occasional home visits.
