Join our dynamic team as a Deli Runner, where your energy and enthusiasm will keep our deli operations running smoothly and efficiently! In this lively role, you'll be the vital link between the kitchen, service staff, and guests, ensuring that food is prepared, delivered, and presented with care and precision. Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This is a part-time position. Must be able to handle navigating stairs between the kitchen and deli area numerous times per shift.
Duties
- Deliver prepared food items promptly from the kitchen to dining areas or deli area
- Bus and clean tables to maintain a clean, organized dining environment
- Support the restaurant team by restocking supplies, utensils, and condiments as needed
- Ensure proper food handling and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Operate POS system
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including counters, storage spaces, and equipment
- Assist with food safety compliance by adhering to health regulations and sanitation standards
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities
- Previous experience in banquet service, catering, or hotel hospitality is a plus
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude and proactive approach to assisting colleagues
- Strong understanding of hospitality principles and guest services excellence
Requirements
- Must have or be able to acquire a Food Handler's Card
- Must be at least 18 years old
- If over 21, must have or be able to acquire a Responsible Beverage Servers certification
